Volunteers

We love our volunteers!  We cannot do this without you and we appreciate your help!  This year Cupcake Camp Summerville is at Seacoast Church, 301 E. 5th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483 to benefit their Food Pantry.  If you would like to volunteer, please complete the form below or email us your Name, Phone Number (please let us know if you are able to receive texts for updates), and mailing address to cupcakecampsummerville@gmail.com.  After you submit the following information, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and then periodic follow-up texts/emails leading up to the event with specific information and where you will be placed. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. We are accepting 20 volunteers this year.

Below are the volunteer positions needed for Cupcake Camp Summerville. Please be flexible to change positions when/if needed.  We appreciate all that you do and your willingness to volunteer. We pay you in cupcakes! If you are sick and cannot make it, we appreciate the courtesy in letting us know before the event.

Volunteer Form

Cupcake Promoters – help us tweet, text, email everyone you know about this amazing event that promotes community spirit while giving back to local charity!
Cupcake Bouncers – other than bakers and volunteers, no one is allowed in the staging room, 3-5 pm.
Cupcake Line/No Bins Control – pass out plates and enforce “No Bins until 4:30” rule.
Greeters/Donation Takers – greet and help bakers and sponsors move cupcakes in staging room, 3-6 pm.
Check-in people – check-in volunteers, bakers and sponsors at the registration table, 2-4 pm.
Cupcake Carriers – help restock and distribute cupcakes as needed, 3-5 pm.
Set-up crew – help set up before the event, must be available between the hours of 1-3 pm.
Judging/Tally Committee – prepare judging tables with cupcakes, replenish water for the judges, help tally votes after cupcakes have been judged, 3:30 pm-end.
Clean-up crew – pick up wrappers, sweep up cupcake crumbs, help us return Seacoast Church the way we found it, 5-6 pm.
Photographers – must be present before, during and/or after event. Take detailed pictures of everything: cupcakes, crowds, etc. and must be willing to share on all social media instantly.
Counter – This would be your only job. Using a counter, you would count how many total have showed up at the event (including all volunteers, bakers, and attendees).
